ONE-FOR-ONE GRATITUDE SESSIONS FOR ESSENTIAL SERVICE WORKERS
Every evening I have been hearing the sounds of pots banging, cheers, and a collective unity around me trying to show respect and appreciation to our front line and essential service workers. It has been sweet and encouraging. Although, I kept thinking how can this Langley photographer help? That is when I was recently introduced to an amazing idea by a fellow photography named Anastasia Chomlack. I wanted to take part 100%! It is called “One-for-One Gratitude Sessions.”
In the words of Anastasia:
“People are sacrificing their own time with their families so I can spend time with mine.
Let me repeat that.
People are sacrificing their own time with their families so I can spend time with mine.
And I am grateful…and I am struggling…
…struggling with this insane privilege of staying home with the people I love…struggling with the fear of
the uncertain financial future we’re all facing…and heartbroken for the people packing up and moving out
of the corridor because their future has, in two short weeks, already been decided.
I’m also incredibly hopeful that we will all find our footing again, that we’ll collectively come up with the
solutions that support each other and our local businesses, and that we’ll find a way to repay the debt we
owe to the grocery store workers, nurses, doctors, truck drivers, farm workers, police, first responders,
emergency childcare providers, pharmacists, insurance agents, firemen, drugstore operators and other
essential workers…for sure I missed someone!…who are the only reason we can take care of our families at
home right now.
In this spirit, and hoping to encourage others to do what they reasonably can too, I’m offering one-for-one
local family sessions. If you’ve been appreciating your family like I have lately and feel able to invest in a
family photo session at this time, please do!”
That being said, let me introduce that Sparrow Photography is now offering for a limited time One to One Gratitude sessions for Essential workers. The family sessions are also being offered at a discounted rate!
All local family sessions booked between now and the 30th of April will purchase an additional (complimentary) photo session for an essential front line worker of your choice and their family.
NOMINATING AN ESSENTIAL WORKER: If you’re not in a position to invest at the moment, but would love to be a part of giving back, please feel free to nominate an essential worker that you’d like to see receive a complimentary family photo session.
Please note that all photo sessions to take place within the lower mainland when the physical social distancing guidelines have been lifted.
Let’s uplift one another for the time and effect that these incredible humans have given others and to give him or her (and their families) an experience to look forward to!
Email vienna@sparrow-photography.ca for all the details on how to book your gratitude session.
Thank you so much to Whistler, B.C. Canada photographer, Anastasia Chomlack, for creating this incredible community!
