Spring blooms into love…
With the change of seasons from the cold winter breeze to the warmer floral winds, one of the most loved moments of spring in Vancouver every year are the cherry blossoms! They bloom all over the city and nearby cites as well. You’ll be lucky to have a moment alone with the blossoms on a nice day. From professional photographers, to hobbiests, to selfies, you can be sure the #cherryblossoms will be trending on social media from various times in March to mid-May!
We planned Megan and Allan’s engagement session on a very unpredictable day when it came to the weather. From previous photo session experiences, I knew we would catch the cherry blossoms during their session (which was the goal!). What I didn’t know was, how great the timing would be when we shot their engagement session! As a wedding photographer in Vancouver, you can’t be too prepared. I always have a few umbrellas in the trunk of my vehicle in case of rain. Those who live around here don’t call it “April showers” for no reason! But the weather gods were kind to us for the majority of the engagement session. Even when the rain started to roll in, Megan and Allan embraced the umbrellas, and it was obvious to me that their love will last through all seasons!
Megan and Allan met at a run crew in East Vancouver years ago and it was their love for running that bloomed into much more. Now, soon to be husband and wife, I’m sure Megan and Allan will be running together until the end of time!
These two plan to say I do in July at the Vancouver Maritime Museum. It will be gorgeous rain or shine! Thank you Megan and Allan for allowing yourselves to laugh at some jokes that may have been so bad they were good, and having a lot of fun in the rain!
